01 Do you do storage as well as removals?
Yes, and around here it is half the reason people ring. Household overflow, the gap between completions, business stock, and the boxes that do not fit the new place. Wrapped and inventoried rather than tipped into a unit, and quoted alongside the move so nothing gets handled twice for no reason.
02 Can you get down the terraces?
Yes, with an early start. The ex-mining terraces around the town and out through the Ashfield villages have no driveways and fill with parked cars by mid-morning. We load early and keep the vehicle moving rather than blocking a street for three hours.
03 Do you cover Sutton and Kirkby?
Both, plus Mansfield Woodhouse, Warsop, Forest Town, Rainworth and the Sherwood-edge villages. It is all within a short run, which is why smaller jobs out that way are worth doing properly rather than squeezing in.
04 How soon do I need to book?
As soon as you have a date, even a provisional one. Fridays and month-ends go first. Holding a slot costs nothing and moving it is easy.
05 Can a move carry on into Europe?
Yes. The load leaves Mansfield, picks up the M1 at junction 28 or 29 and runs south to the crossings. Same crew packing, and the customs paperwork prepared here from the survey inventory.
06 How do you work out a price?
Four things: how much is going, the access at both ends, how much packing you want done, and how far it travels. If you are comparing quotes, check both have measured the same volume — that is where most of the gap lives.
07 Does a survey cost anything?
No. On anything above a single room it is worth twenty minutes because it fixes the volume and settles the access questions. Video works fine if you have already moved out.
08 What kind of storage is it?
Containerised rather than a walk-in unit: goods are wrapped as if for transit, listed on an inventory, and sealed into timber containers that are racked indoors. It is handled once at each end instead of repeatedly.
09 Can I get at things while they are stored?
With notice, yes — a container is brought down and opened during working hours. It is not a self-storage unit you wander into whenever you like, which is the trade for it being inventoried, wrapped and indoors.
10 Do you store for businesses?
Regularly. Stock overflow, archive, seasonal equipment and office furniture during a fit-out. Same containerised arrangement, with the inventory doing the record-keeping.
11 What about vehicles or a caravan?
That is a different kind of storage from ours and we would rather point you at somebody who does it properly than take the booking. Our storage is containerised household and business goods.
12 Do you dismantle and rebuild furniture?
Beds, wardrobes, table legs and flat-pack that will not clear a staircase — yes, and we rebuild at the other end. Anything plumbed, wired or fitted in we leave to the relevant trade.
13 Are my things insured?
Goods in transit and storage cover are both in place, with the usual conditions around owner-packed cartons and items of unusual value. Declare anything genuinely valuable at survey and we will confirm in writing what applies.
14 What happens if completion is delayed?
The load stays on the vehicle or goes into store overnight rather than onto a pavement — which is one of the practical advantages of doing both under one roof. We tell you plainly what it means for the booking rather than sending a surprise invoice.
15 Do you clear a house as well?
Clearing what you are not taking is a separate job and we price it separately rather than folding it in quietly. Packing materials go back with us as a matter of course.
16 Is the M1 useful from here?
Very. Junctions 28 and 29 are both close, which makes a long move out of Mansfield quicker to start than from most of north Notts. Local traffic on the A38, A60 and A617 matters more day to day.
17 Do you move offices?
Small commercial work — offices in the town, units on the industrial estates, shops and salons. Out of hours usually makes most sense so the business loses the least trading time.
18 Can you collect from two addresses?
Yes. Two households merging, or a house plus a storage unit being emptied on the way. Mention both in the brief so the route and timing are costed properly.
19 Do you work weekends?
Yes, and they go first. If your date is fixed, book early. If it can flex, a midweek slot is easier to crew and easier to park.
20 Who handles the customs paperwork on a European move?
We do, from the survey inventory. Since the UK left the EU a household move needs a proper packing list and the destination country's transfer-of-residence process. We tell you what has to come from you, and when.
