Coverage

Where we work, belt by belt

Mansfield and the country around it split into four parts that behave quite differently for a removals crew. Here is how we think about them, and which places have a page of their own.

01

Mansfield town

NG18

Ex-mining terrace rows through the centre, the postwar suburban belt at Berry Hill and Forest Town, town-centre flats above shops, and newer building towards the A617. Parking is the recurring variable — the terraces have no driveways and fill by mid-morning.

North — Woodhouse and the Meden

NG19 · NG20

Mansfield Woodhouse with its own old core and a broad twentieth-century belt, then Warsop, Pleasley and Shirebrook. Easier loading than the town terraces, with village lanes at the far end that need a look first.

The Ashfield towns

NG17

Sutton-in-Ashfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield, plus Huthwaite, Skegby, Stanton Hill and Annesley. Terrace country with postwar estates behind, and the A38 running straight to the M1 at junction 28 — the quickest part of our patch for a long move out.

The Sherwood edge

NG20 · NG21 · NG22

Clipstone, Blidworth, Bilsthorpe, Edwinstowe and Ollerton. Good houses on lanes that narrow without warning, with soft verges after a wet week and trees that will not clear a high vehicle. Every one gets the approach checked before a van is allocated.

Area pages

Four written up in detail

These are the places where the local detail genuinely changes how a move runs — an old core, a terrace grid, a bypass, a set of forest lanes. Each has its own page rather than a name swapped into a template.

Beyond the area

We quote across north Nottinghamshire and into Derbyshire routinely, and long moves anywhere in the country. What we will not do is claim street-level knowledge of a city we do not work — Nottingham has its own movers who know its own streets, and Chesterfield and Worksop the same. Junctions 28 and 29 make a long move out of here quick to start, and moves continuing abroad are on European removals.

Not sure whether your address is one of ours? Put it on the quote form and we will tell you straight.

Is your street on the list?

Both addresses, roughly what is going, and your dates if you have them. We will arrange a survey and come back with a written quote.
